My new home...
Halloweenlover asked if I could post some photographs of Dream Flat...I don't have any of the inside right now, but here's a couple of the outside of the building (which is nearly 200 years old) and one slightly broader view of the square. The sea is at the bottom of the square. Our flat is on the second floor (third floor in the US). It's the one with the little triangular shape above the window.

I am so, so jealous. Congratulations!!
Oooooh - beautiful!! I'm jealous too!
Really lovely. Congratulations!
Beautiful. I can't wait to see the inside.
Thank you. I do feel so lucky that I'm going to live there. And, of course, inside photos will follow...
Oooooh! So gorgeous. It looks like a building right out of a Noel Streatfeild novel.
Wait wait wait. I thought we could be friends Pink Cupcake, but now I am not so sure.
Are you trying to tell me that the sea is at the bottom of that square right in front of your house? As in, you have a view of the ocean? Because, I cannot be friends with people from whom I am consumed with jealousy. The flat is too beautiful. I'm going to have to think this through.
Now, my husband really wants to move to England in 2 years, so if you can find me an equally beautiful flat if we move there, then maybe I'll reconsider.
halloweenlover - LOL. Oh yes, the sea is right at the bottom of the square, but if I promise to blog lots of photos of ocean views we can still be friends, can't we?!? :)
I think you'll like the inside of the flat too - lots of original features, such as fireplaces and ceiling coving. Plus in the main entrance of the building there's this really quaint plaque where all the residents have their names painted in gold - I've never seen anything like it before.
And, yes, you must move to England - I promise to help you house hunt!
ALL the second floor windows have a little triangular shape above them, so we can't identify yours. We are desperate and tearing our hair out.
Malcolm - LOL! :) If you look at the first photo, you'll see there are two entrances (with columns etc.) in the centre. Our entrance is the left hand one, so it's the second floor window above and to the left of that. Does that make sense? Anyway, it's that one, although they all look pretty similar!
View of the ocean? I am jealous too.
So beautiful. I don't blame you for wanting it so much! Congratulations again!
Ooooh - very nice!! :)
Is Dream Flat in the same town as OUE?
Adjunct Kait - No, it's not in the same town as OUE. I lived there for the last two years, but have now moved so that we can live somewhere between LLH's law firm and OUE (so that we can finally live together again!). I'll be commuting up to OUE about once a week, which is fine now that I'm just doing research.
I love the park outside, too!! YAY!
B* - I know, I love the park. I told LLH earlier today that it's going to be my garden...I have visions of taking my mug of coffee and reading over there. :)
You've made it!
OK, the place does look totally cool. But really, I've been coming by looking for the REM list for Friday. I didn't say anything for the last two days because I didn't want to be a pest, but you did promise me some kind of REM list, didn't you?
Scrivener - I know, I know, I'm sorry! :) I did begin a list on Friday, but somehow it got interrupted and the weekend totally slipped by... I will get to it today, as long as it's OK to do my not-so-random ten on a Monday?!
I want to email you, but I don't have an email address for you... could you email me at bright[dot]star[dot]blog[at]gmail[dot]com?
Thanks!

B* - I've emailed it to you, but it's roomwithaviewblog[at]hotmail[dot]co[dot]uk
