Coffee addict?! Moi?!
My lovely new coffee maker just arrived, so I popped out to buy some beans from my local coffee shop. Does it say something about me that I also bought a take-out latte whilst there, so that, you know, I can have enough of a caffeine fix to get me through reading the instructions and getting the new machine going?!

okay, that's hilarious. you bought a coffee to drink while learning to make coffee?!?!
I know, I know! I couldn't help but laugh to myself as I walked home with the bag of beans and cup of coffee! :)
I don't even drink coffee but just the smell of it in a coffee shop would tempt me to buy some. It always smells so good.
That looks like a great coffee maker!
P.s. - You are so right about feeling all the pressure and bitching from the other students around. I really like your idea of making friends outside of the program--that's a great idea. Maybe I'll just have to accept that I can't necessarily be friends with these people, I'll just have to be acquaintances with them. That would lower my stress a ton. Thank you for your wisdom!
You are not alone. I am a coffee addict as well!
Maybe we should form a support group. I'm trying to give up caffeine.
purpledaisy - No problem! :)
Limon - I resolved that of the many things that I'm trying to do to be more healthy, giving up coffee isn't going to be one of them! I gave up once before and just hated it (especially in the summer, as I love iced coffee drinks), so I'm cutting out diet coke and tea instead, to try to reduce my caffeine levels.
That was a very reasonable thing to do! How else would you go through all those directions??? :)
Ah, coffee -- saves my students every morning by waking me up.
